The Berkshire team for the SCAS inter-counties championships was comprised entirely of Bowmen Of Burleigh members. Burleigh's own Graham Potts was one the Judges at the recent European Indoor Championships at Jean, Spain.
    Graham said:
"I had to check the target faces - they had 5,000 so I checked a sample size of 90!"
"In terms of medal matches, my first was the Bronze Medal for Mens Compound, won by Emiel Custers from Netherlands. Second match was the real highlight, as I was given the top individual match - Mens Recurve, which was won by Alessandro Rivolta from Italy. Neither match was any problem."
"For the Team finals, I had the Ladies Recuve Bronze and Gold matches - The Germans won the Bronze (beating France) - I had a slight problem here - when we went onto the field of play, I looked at the target faces and had to adjust one on the Germans boss - it was upside down!"
"The Gold medal was won by the Turkish Ladies against Ukraine. I have to say the ladies matches were very enjoyable to judge!"
"I have a heap of good memories from my first International Event as a Judge, I hope for many more!"
