Outdoor Shooting Programme 2017
The club offers a range of shooting options all year round. Throughout the summer there is a club evening on Wednesdays and there are usually archers shooting on a Friday evening as well.
A formal club shoot is held every Sunday from April to October. This shoot has a strict 10.00 am start with assembly at 9.45am after signing into chosen distance. Members are asked to 'check in' and put their names down on a target list for a set distance before they start to prepapre their equipment. Following Assembly at 09.45, all members, except the infirm or disabled, will be expected to assist with the set up of the field and this includes putting out the warning signs and preparing the score sheets for each target.
Anyone arriving after 9.45 am will need to put out their own targetwithout altering the existing configuration. In alignment with Archery GB regulations this means that if you are late then you are highly likely to be restricted to shooting the shorter distances as any extra targets will have to be placed on the right hand side of the field.
Members may also shoot at other times, subject to the safety rule that another adult must be observing for potential hazards while an archer shoots. Juniors must be supervised by an adult archer at all times.
The indoor shooting programme is now ready. For the newer members of the club....it shows the rounds to be shot indoors and the start times, which are different to the outdoor shooting start times. It also shows the Frostbite rounds, ie the Sundays when we shoot outdoors during the Winter months.
